"Il 21 dicembre, come è stato annunciato nel numero di Natale del giornale, si è svolto il Primo Incontro Musicale dell’ a.s. 2004-05. Dopo la consegna dei diplomi del “corso di Autocad” da parte del Preside Basso, coadiuvato dai professori Tommaso Palmieri e Gino Ciliberti, è iniziata la parte centrale della manifestazione. Vincenzo Ciarlo dopo aver rivolto un breve saluto al Dirigente ha presentato i vari musicisti intervenuti alla manifestazione.

Il Maestro Tommaso Rispoli, chitarrista, diplomato al Conservatorio U. Giordano di Rodi G.co, ci ha proposto il 1° movimento della rossiniana n°1 op.119 (di M. Giuliani), il II Tempo della Sonata III (di M. M. Ponce), il Tango en Skai (di R. Dyens) e il Kid in a Toyshop (di P. Giordano).

Successivamente il giovanissimo Maurizio Rispoli, iscritto al 1° anno della classe di sassofono, ci ha fatto ascoltare Strangers in the night (di F. Sinatra) e Yesterday (di J. Lennon). E’ stata la volta, poi, del semiconvittore Achille De Paola che, lasciato lo studio del pianoforte tre anni fa, lo ha ripreso approfittando del laboratorio musicale presso la nostra Casa dello Studente. De Paola, visibilmente emozionato, ha eseguito alla tastiera Inno alla gioia (di L. Beethoven e Va’ pensiero (di Verdi). Chiude la serata musicale il Maestro Vincenzo Martini, diplomato in sassofono e clarinetto al Conservatorio di Rodi G.co e docente presso l’I.I.S. “De Rogatis” di San Nicandro G.co. Martini ci ha fatto ascoltare, al sassofono, Moonlight serenade (di Gleen Miller), The shadow of your smile (di J. Mandel e P.F. Webster), The girl from Ipanema (di Jobim e Gimbel) e One note samba (di Jobin).

Tutti i presenti hanno apprezzato l’esibizione dei musicisti attraverso ripetuti e calorosi applausi; lo stesso Dirigente si è poi complimentato con loro al momento della consegna, agli stessi, degli attestati di partecipazione. Successivamente, coadiuvato dall’istitutore Donato Rispoli, ha premiato i vincitori del torneo di biliardino, Toto N. e Sarno L. La coppa del 2° posto è stata consegnata a G. Capobianco, mentre le medaglie del 3° e 4° posto sono state consegnate alla coppia Tribuzio-Simone e alla coppia Balsamo- Giotti. Come semiconvittore distintosi nel 1° trimestre è stato premiato Pasquale Bernaudo. La serata si è conclusa con la presentazione del numero di Natale del Giornale “Il Mosaico” al Dirigente Scolastico da parte del Coordinatore della Casa dello Studente Gerardo Marolla."
