"La “1a Edizione dei Giochi sotto l’albero”, di cui si è accennato nel numero di Dicembre de “Il Mosaico”, si è svolta il 18 dicembre dopo il consueto “pranzo degli auguri”. A questa competizione hanno partecipato tutti i convittori suddivisi in tre squadre: “Gli Angeli”, “I Pastorelli” e i “Re Magi” guidate, rispettivamente da tre ottimi capitani, Antonio Facenna, Antonio Ciuffreda e Luigi Giordano. Dalle 16.30 alle 22.00 si sono susseguite, intervallate da diverse pause, prove di abilità, velocità, intuito, intelligenza, cultura e memoria....... Ad ogni turno la squadra vincitrice pescava una serie di doni dall’albero. Al termine la squadra degli Angeli, che ha totalizzato il maggior numero di vittorie, ha conquistato il premio finale, un grosso cesto natalizio.
