…a voi ragazzi di scuola media,
"che leggerete questo nostro giornale, rivolgo un invito alla riflessione sulla scelta scolastica che andrete a fare e, fra i tanti, riflettete anche sul nostro corso di studi.
Questo non vuole essere semplicemente un invito a iscrivervi alla nostra Scuola; ci penseranno i nostri professori che, indubbiamente, lo faranno meglio di me e nella maniera più competente, ma è un modo come un altro per dire “vi sto vicino”, anche io ho vissuto questo momento e so come è difficile rispondere alla domanda “E ora cosa faccio?”
Ovviamente per rispondere è necessario prendere in considerazione i propri interessi personali (cosa desidero fare?), le motivazioni (cosa voglio fare?), le attitudini (per che cosa sono portato?) le conoscenze (cosa so?) le competenze (cosa so fare meglio?) i valori (in cosa credo?, quale bisogno deve soddisfare il mio lavoro?), la propria personalità. Non solo, ma l’ambiente circostante, la realtà sociale ed economica in cui si vive, il continuo evolversi del mondo del lavoro porterà anche la risposta alla domanda “Cosa è possibile fare?”.
Un consiglio, comunque, informatevi, discutete con i genitori, i professori, gli amici ma decidete in autonomia, fatevi guidare anche dall’istintiva voglia, che è in tutti noi, di avventura, di sperimentare il nuovo o il diverso. Fatevelo dire da chi è molto soddisfatto del corso di studi intrapreso, e che, a suo tempo, ha fatto anche la scelta del convitto ed oggi può dire: “non potevo fare una scelta migliore e gratificante”. In bocca al lupo!"
