Intitolazione Auditorium a Facenna

Il 16 gennaio 2015 si è svolta la Cerimonia di intitolazione dell’Aditorium del Convitto ad Antonio Facenna, perito agrario ed ex convittore del M. di Sangro di San Severo, scomparso il 5 settembre scorso a seguito dell’eccezionale ondata di maltempo che ha colpito la zona di Carpino dove risiedeva l’Azienda di famiglia.
L’iniziativa promossa personalmente dal Dirigente Scolastico, prof. Giuseppe De Cato, ha visto la partecipazione di rappresentanti delle autorità, a livello locale e provinciale.
Presenti i genitori del giovane Antonio, Giacomo e Dora, i fratelli Bruno e Marco, gli istitutori, i docenti dell’Istituto, gli studenti, una delegazione dell’”Associazione ex-convittori del M. Di Sangro” e quanti ebbero il piacere di conoscerlo ed apprezzarlo.
La Cerimonia è stata aperta dal Dirigente Scolastico con un discorso imperniato ovviamente sulla personalità del giovane Antonio. Infine ha dato lettura di un telegramma inviato dal Presidente della Regione Vendola e di un altro inviato dall’ex Dirigente Scolastico dell’Itas prof. Ettore Basso.
Il Presidente del Consiglio di Istituto ha dato lettura delle motivazioni che hanno portato alla decisione di intitolare l’Auditorium del Convitto ad Antonio Facenna. Si sono succeduti nel dare testimonianza e ricordare la figura del giovane Antonio il prof. Matteo Fiore, la prof.ssa Muti, l’ist. Marolla e l’ex convittore ed amico Luigi Giordano.
Tra gli altri sono intervenuti il Provveditore agli Studi di Foggia, il Presidente della Provincia Miglio, l’ex sindaco di Bari Emiliano.
